About Kate Rothe.
Clinical Psychologist.
BBus, GradDipPsych, GradDipPsychSc, MClinPsych, MAPS.
Kate is a Clinical Psychologist who offers a warm, collaborative, and supportive space for clients to navigate difficult emotions, develop practical ways of coping, and reconnect with what matters most. Recognising that significant life events, changes, and transitions can leave people feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what comes next, Kate works collaboratively with clients to build insight, gain perspective, and develop the confidence and tools needed to move forward.
In her practice, Kate primarily supports adults experiencing PTSD and trauma, life transitions, mood difficulties including anxiety, panic and depression, substance use concerns, and neurodivergence including ADHD and autism. She draws from an integrated range of evidence-based approaches, combining cognitive and behavioural therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy with body-mind and somatic approaches, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy and Clinical EFT, alongside psychodynamic and emotion-focused work.
Kate tailors her approach to the individual needs of each client, allowing therapy to address immediate challenges while also exploring how past experiences and relationships may influence emotions, patterns of relating, and everyday life. Whether clients are navigating a particularly challenging period or seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, Kate provides a warm and respectful therapeutic space focused on meaningful and lasting change.
