About Ariel Reyneke.

Ariel is a clinical psychologist with experience working in diverse settings including clinical mental health and forensic spaces, as well as in private practice. Ariel has experience working with trauma-related struggles, interpersonal and relational concerns, personality adaptations, acute mental health diagnoses, mood disorders and anxiety, addiction, adjustment struggles, and loss and grief.

Ariel believes that lasting change emerges within a safe, collaborative therapeutic relationships and her approach is guided by understanding how our early experiences shape how we relate to ourselves and to others. While Ariel’s foundation is psychodynamic, she is also drawn to an integrative array of therapeutic modalities aiming for a mindful blend of various models tailored to suit individual needs. Depending on the needs of each client, she incorporates elements of Schema Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Mindfulness practices, and Somatic-focused approaches. This allows her to work flexibly and holistically, tailoring therapy to support both insight and embodied healing to explore the capacity each person innately has in order to live enriching lives.
